  • How do I receive a new invitation?

Invitations that are sent to new users are only valid for a short period.

Use the function Forgotten password to reset your password in eSAM/Byggeweb.

  • To make a valid password

For a password to be considered valid in Byggeweb it needs to be of a medium to high level of security.

This requires the following:

  • Total length of password at least 8 characters.
  • At least one capital letter in the password.
  • At least one lowercase letter in the password.
  • At least one number in the password.

Examples of a valid password that satisfies these requirements may be «Betty123» or «Robert123».

Be careful not to use special characters in a password.

Characters like ?,%, *, " and ' are not recommended passwords.

  • What’s my username?

All eSAM/Byggeweb users are set up to have a username similar to their email address.

It is important to remember that it is the email address you were registered with in Byggeweb, which is your username, and not any other aliases that go to the same mailbox.

  • I want to change my username.

Some users (from Bane NOR or others) who are registered with their full name in the e-mail address may wish to use the e-mail address with initials instead.

This is fully possible to change, just contact BIM2Share Support at support@bim2share.no and refer to your previous username and new desired username.

Also, inform if the you are using «BIM2Share Arbeidsflyt/Workflow". If so, the user name will then be changed in both user bases.

BIM2Share does not want to register other usernames than the personal e-mail addresses a user has.

  • I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, you can receive an email with a link to set a new password.

Use the function Forgotten password to reset your password in eSAM/Byggeweb.

It is important to remember you should input the e-mail address you were registered with in eSAM / Byggeweb to and not any other aliases that go to the same mailbox.

Due to the security of eSAM / Byggeweb, we cannot read or send passwords to users, but we are able to send a «forgotten username / password» message manually if you do not receive the mail using the link above.

  • Nothing happens when I click «Log in»

A popup blocker is probably preventing the login window from opening. The popup blocker should accept popups from «www.bim2share.no», methods on how to create exceptions differ from popup blocker to popup blocker.

Please contact local IT if you wish to amend settings in the popup blocker.

You can temporarily override the popup blocker by holding down the Ctrl key on the keyboard while clicking a link/button.

  • I'm not able to log in to BIM2Share Arbeidsflyt/Workflow, after logging in, nothing happens (Google Chrome)

If you have blocked cookies from third parties, this may happen. This is because the eSAM Portal and BIM2Share Arbeidsflyt/Workflow are located on different domains.

To allow this, you must add a permit to the setup:

  • Go to the address «chrome://settings/content/cookies»
  • Click «Add» in the «Allow» section of the screen.
  • Enter «[*.]doc2share.no»
  • Klikk på «Legg til»
  • Click «Add»
  • A restart of Google Chrome may be required.
  • I'm not able to log in to BIM2Share Arbeidsflyt/Workflow, after logging in, nothing happens (Internet Explorer)

If you have blocked cookies from third parties, this may happen. This is because the eSAM Portal and BIM2Share Arbeidsflyt/Workflow are located on different domains.

To allow this, you must add a permit to the setup:

  • Open «Internet Options»
    (from the gear symbol to the right in Internet Explorer).
  • Select the «Privacy» tab.
  • Click on the «Regions» button.
  • Enter «doc2share.no»
  • Click «Allow».
  • Click «OK» and «OK».
  • A restart of Internet Explorer may be required.
  • Why am I asked to accept payment in BIM2Share - Extended Workspace and BIM2Share AutoDelivery?

BIM2Share - Extended Workspace and BIM2Share AutoDelivery are products that BIM2Share delivers as potential tools to all our customers.

For users linked to Bane NOR's projects, these solutions are covered by Bane NOR. But since the solution is general, external users will be asked to accept payment.

All users must accept payment requirements, but this will not require payment as long as the use is linked to Bane NOR's projects.

Are you a user in other projects, outside Bane NOR?
Contact us or the project for more information about whether the project is already covered or if use will entail payment requirements.

Inside a project

  • The folder in Byggeweb Project's Workspace is empty

If you find that a folder is empty, although it is specified that there should be X number of files in it, then you may have set a filter active in your view of the file list.

Do the following to reset:

  • At the top of the folder, click on the text «Filter: Latest current file versions».
  • In the drop-down list, select «Latest file versions (without filter)».

A filter is active/inactive for all folders in the project you have opened.

If you do not have access to a folder, a message will be displayed to inform you of this.

  • Delete temporary files (Internet Explorer)

Many «inexplicable» issues in eSAM/Byggeweb can be solved by deleting temporary internet files (aka. clear cache).

Do the following to clear cache:

  • Quit all instances of Internet Explorer that are open.
  • Restart Internet Explorer.
  • Click «Ctrl»-«Shift»-«Del» on your keyboard.
  • Check the «Temporary Internet files and website files» option and click «Delete».
  • Quit Internet Explorer.
  • Restart Internet Explorer and try to access esam.bim2share.no".

A restart of the machine between the last two points is the next step that can be tested.

OBS! In order for the method to work, the check box to preserve data from favorites must not be checked (if you have added the page as a favorite).

  • Delete temporary files (Google Chrome)

Many «inexplicable» issues in eSAM/Byggeweb can be solved by deleting temporary internet files (aka. clear cache).


Do the following to clear cache:

  • Quit all instances of Google Chrome that are open.
  • Restart Google Chrome.
  • Click «Ctrl»-«Shift»-«Del» on your keyboard.
  • Check the «Buffered images and files» option, make sure that «Time period» is set to «All dates» and click «Delete data».
  • Quit Google Chrome.
  • Restart Google Chrome and try to access esam.bim2share.no".

A restart of the machine between the last two points is the next step that can be tested.

  • Delete temporary files (Mozilla Firefox)

Many «inexplicable» issues in eSAM/Byggeweb can be solved by deleting temporary internet files (aka. clear cache).


Do the following to clear cache:

  • Quit all instances of Mozilla Firefox that are open.
  • Restart Mozilla Firefox.
  • Click «Ctrl»-«Shift»-«Del» on your keyboard.
  • Check only the «Cache» option and make sure the «Time range to clear» is set to «Everything» and click «Clear Now».
  • Quit Mozilla Firefox.
  • Restart Mozilla Firefox and try to access esam.bim2share.no".

A restart of the machine between the last two points is the next step that can be tested.

  • Nothing happens when I click the project name

There may be two explanations for this problem, the first may be that the project window has been opened in the background. Check all browser windows to see if the project is opened there.

If this is not the case then there is probably a popup blocker that obstructs the project window. The popup blocker should accept popups from «www.bim2share.no» but how this is done differs from popup blocker to popup blocker.

Please contact local IT if you wish to make settings in the popup blocker.

  • Jeg er ferdig i prosjektet, hvordan blir jeg fjernet?

Du melder deg selv ut av et prosjekt på følgende måte:

  • Log in to esam.bim2share.no".
  • Go to the «Applications» tab.
  • Click «Access» above the project list and select «Cancel project access»
  • A new windows will appear with your projects.
    Select the appropriate project and click «OK».

An email will be sent to the project administrator in the project to inform of your cancelation of access.
